Honeycomb series PTC ceramic heaters use the patented
Honeycomb PTC elements which are made of an electrically
conductive ceramic that has a Positive Temperature
Coefficient of electrical resistance. As the temperature
of the ceramic increases, the PTC element's resistance
increases rapidly, thus reducing the current flow through
it. The temperature of the PTC heater is therefore self
regulating and does not exceed a temperature of
approximately 380 degrees F.
The honeycomb structure offers the best ratio of heated
surface area to the volume of the heating material in
order to achieve outstanding results in air heating. Heat
is o btained
by forcing air through 1500 holes in each PTC element. The
heat output of the PTC heater is roughly proportional to
the rate of airflow through it.
Selected Honeycomb PTC ceramic heaters are UL recognized
and tested for 100,000 on/off cycles. They have been
proven in the field in the portable heater market with
exceptional results.

| CONFIGURATIONS |

Honeycomb series PTC ceramic heaters are small,
compact, lightweight and capable of delivering up to 1500W of
heat. They use the Honeycomb PTC elements for maximum heat
transfer efficiency and hence their operating temperature is
lower for longer life. The PTC elements are mounted on a
thermoplastic base which is light, insulating and facilitates
installation. Electrical contact to the PTC is by stainless
steel contact plates for long life, reliability and protection
against corrosion. The surface contact of the PTC is sealed by a
high temperature electrical sealant for added reliability. Other
shapes and combinations to those shown are available in OEM
quantities.
